It seems we have a very mild spring where we have a mini heatwave, then it rains from June 'till around August. We might have one or two weeks where the weather's pretty decent but on the whole summer ends up being a pretty damp and miserable disappointment. This has been happening consistently for the last 6 or so years.
Even as I type from my home in here South Wales, I look out the window to see scenery drenched in what I can only describe as monsoon conditions. There's even been a few days in June ("flaming June" that is) where I've been forced to switch on the heating because it's so cold!
Does anyone know why our weather is so bad every year? Has the climate shifted? Is it just bad luck? Global warming? End of the world?
It wasn't always like this! I remember the days when the sky used to be blue instead of this horrible murky white/grey. Back when the sun would come out more than once every two months.

Atlantic Multi-Decadal Oscillation, same thing happened in the 1930's and 50's.
It changes the flow of heat and moisture.
