Yes, indeed, the Universe is pretty spectacular. What is even more amazing, I think, is that what we actually see of it is just a tiny fraction of what's out there. The Universe still has many secrets to be discovered and explored.
What I find astonishing is that the Universe emerged from a point of extremely low entropy, and even some 13.7 billion years later there is still a great deal of order in the Universe. As I understand it, entropy hasn't changed all that much over all those billions of years.

The fact that the universe goes on forever is absolutely astonishing and something hard to imagine. I often wonder where our universe ends and if it is forever, how far "forever" is.
