if the muon was moving at 0.99c how far would it travel before decaying into other particles, according to newtonian mechanics?Speed = 0.Duration = 2.So Distance = 0.......
A muon has a lifetime of 2.2x10^-6 s when at rest, after which time it decays into other particles.

a)ignore any effects of special relativity, if the muon was moving at 0.99c how far would it travel before decaying into other particles, according to newtonian mechanics?

Sorry I had assumed you knew how to do this:
Speed = Distance / Duration

Solve for Distance
Distance = Speed * Duration
Speed = 0.99 * 299792458 [m/sec]
Duration = 2.2 x 10^-6 [sec]

So Distance = 0.99 * 299792458 * 2.2 x 10^-6 [m]

[EDIT: "can you state a final answer?"

My calculator says 650 [m], to two significant figures as the problem statement demands.
