I'm going to be awesome and answer an already answered question.
C.
For every action there is an opposite but equal reaction. ^_^

Fun stuff - > did the ball actually 'fall' to the earth? The a force exerted on the ball by the earth was equal to the force exerted on the earth by the ball.
The balls acceleration relative to you is 9.81m/s^2,
and the Earth's acceleration relative to you is 0, because you are moving with the earth. Assuming you were not falling with the ball =P
But, due to the immense size difference, even though the forces are equal, the ball accelerated at a much faster rate than the earth.
