hey i need help with this , ive tried and i get confused , it so stupid this experiment and i know problem no one will help me with this but ill give it a shot.
EQUIPMENT:
cotton wool
ear plugs
ear muffs
a radio or stereo or tv with a volume markings
METHOD.
Stand at arms length away from the redo and turn the volume down to zero . turn the volume slowly up and stop until you can just hear the sounds of the radio. record this volume
put cotton wool in both ears .. and do the same as before tell me results.
put ear plugs and repeat the same. and tell me results
put ear muffs on and repeat tell me the same.
Hypothesis ?
also please tell me what used .. radio , tv or whatever it
Thank you

You are determining the effect of cotton wool etc in reducing the ability of the ear to hear sound.
Hypothesis: That cotton wool and other objects placed in or over the ear will reduce the hearing sensitivity of the subject.
The subject is the guy with cotton wool in the ears or ear muffs etc over them
The objective of the experiment is to determine the truth of the hypothesis by a semi-quantitative method.
The results should be written in a table having columns for the method of ear blockage and the reading on the volume control knob.
Duplicate results would be very acceptable.
For example the first time you turn up using cotton wool the volume you just hear might be at vol=1 1/2 (1.5) and the next time it might be a bit lower like vol = 1 1/3 (1.3).
Use a separate column to record the average of the two results.
One place of decimals is plenty for a semi-quanitative method and you might not need decimals if you make a scale to go round the volume control, say 1 -30 or however many millimeters it is round the scale.
It would be best to use the inter-station fuzzy noise you can hear at constant volume between stations on an AM radio or a low grade FM radio than using a radio program with speech or music of changing volume so the results are more comparable with each other.
