Using complete sentences, explain each step when solving to justify your examples.3.Debbie and Trisha are looking at the equation √(4x+5) = x. Debbie says that the solution is extraneous. Trisha says that the solution is non extraneous .......
I Have a 56 question test and i did most of everything except these essay questions Please help. :)

1.Describe How To Transform (^3 √x^4)^5 Into An Expression With A rational Exponent Make sure you respond with complete sentences

2.Stephanie Is student teaching at her local high school. She has to help her instructor write a test. She hast to write a radical equation where the solutions are extraneous she also has to write a radical equation where the solutions are non extraneous help Stephanie write one radical equation where the solution is extraneous and another equation where the solution is non extraneous. Using complete sentences, explain each step when solving to justify your examples.

3.Debbie and Trisha are looking at the equation √(4x+5) = x. Debbie says that the solution is extraneous. Trisha says that the solution is non extraneous . Is Debbie correct? Is Trisha correct? Are they both correct? Justify your response by solving this equation, explaining each step with complete sentences.

4.Two athletes Jack And Jill invite you to participate in a 5K run with several hills. One hill can be represented by the function f(x) =2x^2 + 5. Another hill can be represented by the function g(x) =2x^2-3x+4. Describe to jack and jill using complete sentences, which operation results in the largest degree function and which operation results in the smallest degree function show your work to justify your reasoning.

Thanks :) Im so dumb so thank you for answering :)

Hi Luke. Lets solve them.

1. You are to find x raised to the three-fourth power and that raised to the fifth power.

That would be (³√x⁴)⁵ = (x^4/3)⁵

You can multiply the exponents [e.g. (x⁵)⁴ = x²⁰]

(x^4/3)⁵ = x^(20/3). The expression now has be written with rational exponents.

3. √(4x+5) = x

Ok lets square both sides of the equation.

[√(4x+5)]² = (x)²

4x + 5 = x² . You have a quadratic equation now. We can factor it out.
