Describe TWO ways you could complete the triangle.-1) Make the first bend 6 inches. Make the second bend 6 inches as well. Make the third side 8 inches.2) Make the first bend 6 inches. Make the other two sides 7 inches each.......
You are bending a strip of metal into an isosceles triangle for a sculpture. The strip of metal is 20 inches long. The first bend is made 6 inches from one end. Describe TWO ways you could complete the triangle.

-
1) Make the first bend 6 inches. Make the second bend 6 inches as well. Make the third side 8 inches.
6+6+8 = 20
2) Make the first bend 6 inches. Make the other two sides 7 inches each.
6+7+7= 20

-
bend another side 6 inches bend the remaining 8 inches
bend 2 other sides at 7 inches
an isosceles triangle has 2 even sides
so either 2 of the sides have to be 6 so 6+6=12 and to get to 20 you need 8
or only one side is 6 so 20-6=14 and 14/2= 7 so 2 sides of 7
