The answer is: {-5 + or - (5 sqrt 113)} / 4 .... I don't think factoring this would be easy! Just use the quadratic equation: -b +- (sqrt b^2- 4ac)/ 2a= ax^2+bx+c You could factor it, just that it would be a weird number!

2x^2 + 5x - 350 = 0
a = 2, b = 5 and c = -350
x
= [-b +- sqrt (b^2 - 4ac)]/2a
= [-5 +- sqrt (25 + 2800)]/4
= (-5 +- sqrt (2825)/4
= 5/4(-1 +- sqrt 113)
a = 2, b = 5 and c = -350
x
= [-b +- sqrt (b^2 - 4ac)]/2a
= [-5 +- sqrt (25 + 2800)]/4
= (-5 +- sqrt (2825)/4
= 5/4(-1 +- sqrt 113)
