I am trying to figure out what the half is of 1 hour 16 min and 39 sec...Some one please help

You can take half of each unit, and add them together:
Half of one hour is 30 minutes.
Half of 16 minutes is 8 minutes.
Half of 39 seconds is 19.5 seconds.
So half of the TOTAL is 30 minutes + 8 minutes + 19.5 seconds, or 38 minutes and 19.5 seconds.
That method's easier than converting EVERYTHING to seconds, taking half, and then converting it back UP into the minutes-seconds format. Most people would want to know that it's "38 minutes and 19.5 seconds", and not "38 * 60 + 19.5 seconds".

break it down to what it is in seconds and go from there.
