abs.x > -4.Therefore, only x2 is valid.X = -4-Dont let it bother you, just turn it around it doesnt matter.......
Solve the following equation for all values of x: abs.(x+3)-9=2x

Please show work, im reallly confused due to the 2x being on the other side so im not quite sure how to solve this absolute value is suppose to have two answers i think. Please help! Thanks for all you help and effort it is truly appriciated.

-
abs.(x+3)-9 = 2x
abs.(x+3) = 2x+9

x+3 = 2x+9
-x = 6
x1 = -6

-(x+3) = 2x+9
-x-3 = 2x+9
-3x = 12
x2 = -4

2x+9 > 0
2x > -9
x > -4.5

Therefore, only x2 is valid.

X = -4

Don't let it bother you, just turn it around it doesn't matter.
2x = (x + 3) -9
2x = x - 6
x = -6
