Vertex:

Does it open up or open down?

Axis of symmetry?

X intercept?

Y intercept?

-
f (x) = - ( x ² - 4x ) - 9

f (x) = - ( x ² - 4x + 4 ) + 4 - 9

f (x) = - ( x - 2 ) ² - 5

Vertex ( 2 , - 5 )

Axis of symmetry is x = 2

y intercept is at y = - 9

x intercepts are at ( x - 2 ) ² = - 5 which has no real solution.

f(x)=-x^2+4x-9
x-intercept is = o y-intercept is = 0
f(x)=-(0)^2+4(0)-9 f(x)=-(0)^2+4(0)-9
=-0+0-9 =-0+0-9
x =-9 x =-9
vertex is =x(-9,0),y(0,-9)
=(-9,-9)
