So,Now, use the pi symbol on your calculator and multiply it by 7056. If theres a given value of pi in your worksheet, e.g 3.......
O.K, so...

it is 36 ft high

and it has a radius of 14 ft.

WHATS THE VOLUME???

10 POINTS!

-
V = πr^2h

i will use 22/7 for Pi

V = (22/7) * 14^2 * 36
V = (22/7) * 196 * 36
V = 155232 / 7
V = 22,176 ft^3

-
Find the area of the bottom of the cylinder first.
So, Area of circle = πr^2 (That's pi times radius squared) π14^2 = 196π
Volume = Area of base x Height.
So, 196π x 36 = 7056π
Now, use the pi symbol on your calculator and multiply it by 7056. If there's a given value of pi in your worksheet, e.g 3.14 or 22/7, use that value. Otherwise, use the pi programmed in your calculator. Round of to two or three decimal places (depending on what your teacher taught you) , and voila! You got it!

-
Area of a circle is pi*r^2 so,

3.14 * 7^2 = 3.14 * 49 = 153.9

Multiply this by height

153.9 * 36 = 5539 feet cubed

-
easy, 14squared= 196 X pi= 615.75... X 36 = 22167.1 <---- thats your answer !!!

-
pi x r² x h

3.14x36²x14
56792 sq.ft
