How do I find the Input VARS and input Power Factor?or,VAR = VA x RF where RF is the reactive factor,or,VAR = VA x sin(theta),theta = arccos(PF),......
I have the input voltage, input amps and input watts. How do I find the Input VARS and input Power Factor?

-
Calculate input VA as:
VA = V x A

Power factor PF can be found from:
W = PF x VA ==> PF = W / VA

VARs can be found multiple ways at this point:

W^2 + VAR^2 = VA^2 ===>
VAR = (VA^2-W^2)^(1/2)

or,
VAR = VA x RF where RF is the reactive factor, but
PF^2 + RF^2 = 1 ===> RF = (1 - PF^2)^(1/2)
Substituting back in:
VAR = VA x (1 - PF^2)^(1/2)

or,
VAR = VA x sin(theta), but
theta = arccos(PF), so
VAR = VA x sin(arccos(PF))
