There is a large brown rock just of an island in a lake that I go to that is magnetic is there any possibility that it is a meteorite?

It is a possibility. Your best bet is to look at other meteorites and compare. If you can break off a chunk and look at a fresh surface, that would be even better.
Here is a good, reliable web site for meteorite pictures and explanations:

You need to research what is going on in the area - in some areas there is magnetic rock so you need to talk to people who know the geology of the area - it might be normal rock.

There is a possibility, of course. But then, it's not a very high one. Ask a local museum to point you toward someone who can verify whether or not it is a meteorite.
