-After the water is gone.3.019g Hydrate - 1.087g H2O = 1.......
i have a few questions about a hydrates lab i did. The first question asks to calculate the number of moles of water molecules per mole of copper sulfate. this is the data from my lab:
initial amount of copper sulfate (before burning) : 3.019g
water lost after burning: 1.087

so when im solving this problem, do i find convert the amount of copper sulfate to moles BEFORE it was heated, or the amount of copper sulfate left after the water is gone?

After the water is gone.

3.019g Hydrate - 1.087g H2O = 1.932g CuSO4 anhydrous
