What is the chemical reaction of calcium carbonate+ sodium hydroxide, please can you give the word and letter equation?
Thanks in advance :)

calcium carbonate + sodium hydroxide ---> sodium carbonate + calcium hydroxide
CaCO3 + NaOH ----> Na2CO3 + Ca(OH)2
Hope this helps :) x
CaCO3 + NaOH ----> Na2CO3 + Ca(OH)2

I have heard of the reverse reaction taking place - in fact it is a routine industrial process: That is the reaction:
Ca(OH)2(aq) + Na2CO3(aq) → CaCO3(s) + NaOH(aq)
This is a method of obtaining NaOH( which does not occur naturally ) from Na2CO3 ( which is freely available in large quantities in alkali pans) and CaCO3 - which is limestone - cheap easily obtainable - but the precipitated CaCO3 is recycled through a kiln which decomposes the carbonate to reproduce the oxide / hydroxide.
I have checked a number of references to see if there are any reports of your reaction proceeding , with negative results that have any authority.
For your equation: NaOH + CaCO3 I will report = NO Reaction.
Ca(OH)2(aq) + Na2CO3(aq) → CaCO3(s) + NaOH(aq)

CaCO3 + 2NaOH = Na2CO3 + Ca(OH)2
Calcium carbonate + Sodium hydroxide = Sodium carbonate + Calcium hydroxide
Calcium carbonate + Sodium hydroxide = Sodium carbonate + Calcium hydroxide

Ca2CO3 + NaOH --> Na2CO3 + CaOH
