Alright so how do I tell the difference between Pyramidal AX3E and Trigonal Planar AX3 ?
A represents Central atom
X represents Attatched atoms
E represents lone pair

With trigonal planar you have three electrons which will form a planar molecule. Get some ballons , blow them up and tie each end separately, then twist three of them together. The central atom is at the center, and the ballons represent the electron clouds of single bonded atoms. You can't get any other shape then planar. With two ballons it will be linear. With four ballons you will get a tetrahedron, If you use 5 you should get a trigonal bipyramid.
