Is helium incompressible ? what is the density of helium in different units

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-04-26] [Hit: ]
00 mL = 1.1 m = 10 dm,0.1785 kg/m^3(1000 g)/(1 kg) = 178.178.5 g/m^3(1 m^3)/(1 x 10^6 cm^3) = 1.......
0.1785 kg/m^3
1.1143 x 10^-2 lb/ft^3
1.8 x 10^-4 g/mL
1.78 x 10^-4 g/cm^3

Density is temperature dependent so you must be careful to specify the temperature of the gas. Usually it is either at STP or at room temperature.

The above numbers are found in the links below, but we can also make calculations using conversion factors.

0.1785 kg/m^3 can be converted to kg/L or g/L
1 m = 100 cm
1 m^3 = 10^6 cm^3 = 10^6 mL because 1.00 mL = 1.00 cm^3
1 m = 10 dm, so 1 m^3 = 1 x 10^3 dm^3

0.1785 kg/m^3(1000 g)/(1 kg) = 178.5 g/m^3
178.5 g/m^3(1 m^3)/(1 x 10^6 cm^3) = 1.785 x 10^-4 g/cm^3
178.5 g/m^3(1 m^3)/(1000 dm^3) = 0.1785 g/dm^3 = 0.1785 g/L because 1 dm^3 = 1 L

Hope this helps you. JIL HIR
