Is BS in microbiology better than BS in biochemistry for an Immunology grad school/career

organic chem and biochem, which most schools would require for a BS in biology anyway, and Im not really sure how a pre-med major differs from a biology major. I had a chem minor, so perhaps that made the difference for me. I love biochem and organic chem,......
As a retired high school teacher, I'd counsel you to talk to your guidance counselor about all of this, and if you have an undergrad school (or several) in mind, explore what they say you need for pre-med. Honestly, I think you'd do fine with a biology degree as long as you take general chem, organic chem and biochem, which most schools would require for a BS in biology anyway, and I'm not really sure how a pre-med major differs from a biology major. I had a chem minor, so perhaps that made the difference for me. I love biochem and organic chem, and I found them both to be essential in grad school, especially since I also had to take two semesters of graduate level biochem for my master's.
I hope this helped a little. Good luck!

I've heard, and I had ex-colleagues that did BS in microbiology to enter med-school. I've heard it's the straightest way.

But I personnaly think it doesn't matter, with both you'll ogain important knowledge for immunology. Those are just names. At the end, you'll have to know of both microbiology and biochemistry to be a good scientist.
