I pinged www.imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov IP address 92.242.144.60 and did not get a response.
The site is down.

Sorry, but the above is wrong. It is not possible for someone to "use Yahoo's servers" too hack into another person's system. That's the most paranoid thing I've ever heard.
http://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/ is just down right now. It happens with a lot of sites on the internet, and it's a problem with THAT particular site's servers. I'm sure it'll be up later. Netflix was down for me last night. Does that mean someone was using Yahoo's servers to mess up my computer? I don't think so.
And no, you don't need a specific browser. You just have to be patient and wait for the servers to be up and running again.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your question. So I am NOT the only one having this problem. You have just confirmed my suspicions that some YA trolls are using Yahoo servers to interfere with other people's browsers through Yahoo's servers.
Yes, I know I have not answered your question directly. Sorry about that, but I have NEVER claiimed to be a computer expert or geek. Try Firefox, but I REFUSE too change my browser.
Time for another email to an abuse team AND maybe a notification to Customer Care that there is a serious security breach somewhere in the Yahoo system.
I've had this problem for MORE THAN TWO WEEKS, That power outage is RECENT. It may be contributing factor.

I couldn't get in there either, using both Firefox and IE7. Maybe the site is down because of the massive power outages back east.

No, you wouldn't need a special browser. Looks like the server is down. Wait a while and try again later.
