How's this for a theory? First of all, you just need to think about the universe from your own perspective. Now, the universe only has ONE end, and that end is right where you are right now. That end moves with you, wherever you move to. It is the point in the universe where YOU experience the universe from. Let's refer to that end as the "center" of the universe, and I don't mean that in an egotistical sense. So, no matter how far you travel through the universe, the "center" of the universe travels with you. It's a bit like chasing the end of a rainbow. The end of the rainbow keeps moving away from you, no matter how close you try to get. Let's imagine that you get to the "edge" of the universe and look around you...what you will see is more universe in every direction. You are the sensory point where you experience all that the universe has to offer, so in that sense you truly are the "center" of the universe.

The current understanding of the big bang is that it didn't occur at a single "point" in space, but rather the big bang happened everywhere at once. Instead of thinking of it as an explosion, think of it as the expansion and spreading out of a point. Therefore there is no real "center" of space. The closest we can come to answering that is that the center of space is everywhere in space.

If there is indeed an "end of space" there is simply nothing beyond it. Space is defined by masses; space is the non-existence of 'stuff' between masses. If there is a boundary where there is no mass beyond, then there cannot be space beyond that boundary. The other leading theory is that space is infinite and mass exists to infinity.
