What would go down?

We would burn to death and freeze to death.

The difference between the nearest & farthest position fo Earth from Sun differ by 5 million km. We hardly notice it.

Nothing, those measurements are too small to have any relevant effect on the Earth, I think that you mean ten per cent. The Earth orbits around the Sun and so the Earth moves probably hundreds of feet closer to the Sun and further away from the Sun all the time. If you mean ten per cent, that would make a difference, if the Earth was ten per cent closer to the Sun, the Earth would be a lifeless dessert that would be a lot hotter than the Earth we know of today. If the Earth was ten per cent further away from the Sun, the Earth would be a freezing cold ice dessert with no life living on the planet. But if you mean feet, than those measurements are way to small to have any effect on the Earth and the people and the species of life that live here.

The goes 1,553,000 miles closer to the sun, and then 1,553,000 miles further away from the sun, every year. That's an average of 2127 miles closer or further every day. The main result is that the average world-wide temperature goes up about 0.1 degrees F in January, and cools down in July.

So 10 feet? No change at all.

In fact, the earth's distance to the sun changes around 5 million kilometers (that's a lot) every year due to the earth's elliptical orbit.
And many natural phenomena cause far greater changes in distance than 10ft. Earthquakes are a prime example.

Rain. In the time you wrote this question, the earth already moved more than 10ft away from the sun, and rain is still going down.

Nothing, and nothing. Those measurements are much too small to be of any consequence.
