This question was on my semester final and I'm not sure what the answer is. I know it is either temperature or chemical composition. I put down temperature but I talked to alot of people who told me they said it depended on chemical composition
-
It's temperature... The chemical composition will affect the absorption spectrum, but color depends on temperature, and temperature depends on size.
-
There is an obvious correlation between a star's color and its temperature.
As for chemical composition, it is much less obvious.
As for chemical composition, it is much less obvious.
-
The color of a star determines the temperature. Cool stars are red, blue stars are hot, and the sun is yellow.
-
It's mostly temperature, but chemical composition has an effect as well.
