Me and my friend were in the car and suddenly my friend says, "Hey, it smells like ladybugs!" I sniffed, and I realized it did! We both laughed, asking if ladybugs really did have a specific scent or if we were both insane. XD

Ladybugs produce a chemical from glands on the body by what is known as "reflex bleeding". This chemical is yellowish and has a bitter taste and a nasty smell; it gives the ladybug some protection from birds, etc. Humans can often smell it.
