I don't think human emotions are any more complex than most animal's. Mammals definitely have the same level of emotion that humans do. It's hard to imagine a sad jellyfish, what with the lack of a nervous system...

Emotions are just reactions to chemicals in your body though. Chemicals will make you happy or sad or jealous.

Animals show all emotions humans do, just not as much. They show jealousy, fear, hatred, happiness, love, sadness, etc etc etc. All like humans, but they don't do it like us humans. Humans are overdramatic and animals are just the perfect amount. Sometimes animals can be overdramatic too. They can be sarcastic and spoiled. My dog is sarcastic and spoiled. She's very jealous and she always gets mad at me if she smells another dog. Animals are a lot like humans. Hope I answered your question :)
