What would you have done the same?
Last summer, a scorching hot summer afternoon, I was walking through a car park at a local beauty spot, and noticed a dog suffering from the heat inside a locked car. Disgusted, I went to the main reception explained and asked if a member of their staff could search for the owner of the car in the car park.. they applied and 20 mins later still no owner/s. The dog seemed to have got worse, I felt I had no other option left.... so I picked up a brick (which as acting as markers for the car parking spaces) and I smashed the passengers window, so the dog could get some air into the car. So then I had to wait for the owners to return.... get this they returned 90 mins later.
When the owners returned to the car, I explained what had happened... there was a few words exchanged. I did offer to pay for the repair, end of the day it was only broken glass. If they would hand over the dog to the RSPCA due to neglect... after another heated debate... I think the incident was enough for them to reflect on what they had done and they said they even had concerns themselves while out and decided to return early. I apologised for breaking there window, and took full responsibility for whatever came of it. We was out in the country, it would have took police/RSPCA another 15/20mins to have arrived... and the dog was gasping... I would have took any punishment that came with my actions.
I don't regret what I did... and I would do it again. Would you have done the same thing?

Yep I'd of done the same. And I would hope someone would do the same if my dogs were in the same situation. (not that I would leave my dogs in a hot car though)

Awesome ! Yeah I had the same problem, luckily there were police walking around so I told them to come with me, and they smashed the window themselves after not being able to locate the owner so you weren't wrong in any way. I've seen a dog die from being left in a car and its horrible. So iresponsible to leave a dog suffering in a boiling car with no air. Hate people that are that ******* stupid !
