If there are tigers, leopards, monkeys, snakes etc, would they run off if they see an elephant, or would they see an elephant as prey?
I am asking this question as I am planning on travelling through the Thailand jungle and I am worried about the dangerous animals.
I suppose even if there is some sort of attack, the elephant would get attacked and hopefully I should be okay.

Rhinos and other herbivores do not see elephants as being dangerous, unless the elephant chases them off a water hole. Therefore you are safe from being charged by an angry rhino if you are riding an elephant. Tigers, too, would probably not attack you, or the elephant, but there is a video that shows an angry tiger leaping up and attacking a person riding on an elephant, so it is best not to provoke these big cats even if you are riding on an elephant. Further, it is generally just as safe to be riding in a jeep. The predators and the herbivores usually do not perceive these vehicles as threats and you can get quite close to the animals that way.

I'm also hoping to go to India one day (maybe next year) and ride elephants to see tigers!
The answer is no. Tigers won't attack you or the elephant. The tiger won't attack you because it thinks you are part of the elephant, and they will certainly not attack them because they don't want to anger a beast that weighs twenty times as much as them! However, they feel more comfortable with elephants than with humans. So, you have more chances to see a tiger in the wild if you are on an elephant.
Lions rarely attack elephants, and if they do it, it will be at night. Elephants can't see very well at night, lions on the other hand can see 6 times better than us humans, so they have an advantage. Also, they are capable of taking down an elephant because they hunt in a pack. Tigers are solitary animals, so they can't prey on them.
I hope I helped!

Uh, tigers and lions attack elephants. Yes, they do group up and try to fend one off and eat it. If your elephant is the unlucky one, I suppose you would die as well. Monkeys might get curious...snakes shouldn't be a threat. If your elephant ever freaks out and causes you to fall though, you're dead.

Beware of attacks by angry Donkeys!
