A flywheel is speeded up uniformly to 900 rmp in 15 seconds from rest. Find the angular acceleration proportion in radians/ second^2 and find the linear acceleration a in m/sec^2 of a point 0.9144 meters from the axis.

-
angular acceleration = 2pi rad/s^2
linear acceleration = 2pi*0.9144 = 5.74 m/s^2

-
now w_i = 0, w_f = 900 rpm =900/60 rps =15rps = 15*2pi rad/s (i multiplied by 2pi as one revolution is 2pi radians)
now use eqn of rotational motion,
w_f = w_i + at
we get a = 2pi rad/s^2 by putting values
