My parents and I are stuck inside a room. It's a lock that opens by a key from outside, and by a small operator from inside. The key's got stuck, and we have been unable to unlock the door. Screw driver and other things are all placed in another room. Any solutions. Please be fast

Knock out the hinge pins on the door and open it by pivoting around the jamb side.

Assuming you do not have your cell phones with you? If so do any family members have a spare key to your house so they can let themselves in and unlock the door? Or if no one has a spare key you could call your local police station or fire station and ask them what do do (do not call the actual emergency number though). No cell phones- can you climb out of a window? If the window is locked you may have to break it. If this if the case make sure you wrap a towel or bedding or even an item of clothing around the arm that you use ( DO NOT strike the window with your arm!!) to hold an object that you can break the window with. Make sure you carefully remove any jagged bits of glass before climbing through. Be very careful because glass is highly dangerous. Failing that if you only have your computer there if you have a Facebook page can you alert a friend or relative who lives nearby that you need help? You could take the door off it's hinges/remove the entire lock and handle mechanism but that assumes you have the right size screwdriver or a drill in that room which is probably a long shot.

No phone? You have internet. Call for help. we cannot open the door from here. From the information I have(which is what you gave me), there is no way to coach you through opening this door because there is no way to do so from the inside. Contact someone and tell them to come to where you are so they can open it from the outside.

The use the internet to call for help is excellent suggestion. But, I am curious, if you are inside, how did the key get stuck in the lock outside and given that, who locked the door? The door was unlocked for you to get in, after all.

Since you have obviously have access to the internet, since you posted this question, you could email someone. Or maybe you have a phone too and are using the internet on a phone. So call someone. Friends, family, anyone.

you have no phones in the room? any windows? and you have a computer in the room with you? email a friend to come help or something..... can you be more specific??
