Use point-slope form :
y-y1 = m(x-x1)
so
y- - 5 = -(2/5)(x-5)
and multiply it out as desired, if you want the slope intercept form
FYI :
this form is allowed , as it is on most senior exams :
y + 5 = -(2/5)(x-5)
y-y1 = m(x-x1)
so
y- - 5 = -(2/5)(x-5)

Point (5 , -5)
m = - 2/5
y + 5 = (-2/5) ( x - 5)
y = (-2/5) x + 2 - 5
y = (-2/5) x - 3
m = - 2/5
y + 5 = (-2/5) ( x - 5)
y = (-2/5) x + 2 - 5
y = (-2/5) x - 3
