If I wanted to write "Assume P", is there a symbol I can write instead of "assume"?

No. I saw your other post asking if there is a symbol for "contradiction," but I would honestly not read a paper that has too many symbols in the wrong places. Assume is usually the beginning of a sentence in a proof (or even the first word in the whole proof). If I saw that, I would stop at the glance of a symbol. This is if you're writing a proof. But no, there isn't.
