I am struggling with this problem:
100=3/1.025 + 103/(1+x)^2
answer is x = 3.0075
how do I solve it? Thank you for your help!

100=3/1.025 + 103/(1+x)^2
3/1.025 + 103/(1+x)^2=100
103/(1+x)^2=100-3/1.025=100-2.9268=97.07
(1+x)^2= 103*97.07=9998.5366
1+x=+/- 99.99
x=1+/- 99.99
x= 100.99 or -98.99
You have missed some where
