P.S. In about 4 years remember there are a lot of great Universities where you can reach your goals. To help your folks out, a good number of Engineering schools are less expensive ( probably not as good for somethings) than MIT or CalTech.Good Luck,......
I'm just a middleschooler going to 7th grade and im planning to go to like MIT or CalTech

If you are going into the 7th grade you have a lot of time remaining to reach your goal. If you are to become an engineer you will find that as you go through the 7th, 8th, 9th etc grades your math and science grades will improve. You should work hard in understanding the fundamentals in math and science at this time. Your fascination, interest and math and science skills will improve tremendously if you work hard and study hard. If you truly like this approach and end results, getting an engineering degree is very personally rewarding.
When I was your age, and definitely nothing against them, I wanted to be a farmer. I got into math and science about you age and became an engineer. I am retired at this time but had a great career, a lot of excitement and personal satisfaction with the fringe benefit of earning a very good living.

Good Luck, Study hard so that you not only know but understand the subject.

Cole you will know when you are "into" math and science when you look at class problems as opportunities and entertainment . You will work on opportunities and not even notice how much time has passed. You will look forward to doing all, not just, the assigned homework. Do your best.

Thank You

Going into 7th grade, you have not had enough math and science to know if you are really good at it or not. And nothing you have done up to this time will determine if you can or can not qualify for admittance to a good school. I had a really bad science teacher in 6th grade and was decent in math. Middleschool helped to define what I was good at and High School was the clincher.
Apply yourself, take college prep classes in math and science, and you will do okay. Your road is just beginning.

then you have to work harder on math and science if you really wanna be an engineer. because math and science is a must known for engineers. dont worry about what the good schools are. work on your math and science first. even if you got into a top school, if yuo are bad in those field, you would not succeed.

btw, there are lots of diff kinda engineers, think of which type is right for you.

I have a friend that got an appreticeship being trained how to become and engineer. He is now on good money and found a job really easily. You don't always need those sorts of qualifications, it's all about how you're trained.
