In Chemistry class, we are learning about how substances kill certain bacteria. Well, this came to mind. Acids with a very low pH (below 1) kill 100% of bacteria. So when you take a bath, the purpose of it is to kill the bacteria that causes you to smell thus you are "cleaning" yourself. But ordinary soaps only kill 74% of bacteria. I heard taking a bath in battery acid will kill 100% of all bacteria because its pH is 0.6. I bought some battery acid today-about 2 gallons of it from a local chemist. I am ready to pour in the bath tub. But I want to make sure that it is completely safe. Is this smart to do? Please respond, thanks :)

Really?? Troll, or the next candidate for a darwin award I wonder??

I assume you're not serious about this, but I'll answer you anyway. No, of course it isn't safe. The purpose of bathing is to clean yourself and although the soap may not kill all of the bacteria, it will wash nearly 100% of the bacteria off of your skin. The strong acid you are talking about will damage your skin, eyes, and other body parts, so, no, it is not safe.

Is that a trick question ???
i mean, seriously, ??
if u are then the words "chemical skin peel" come to mind and i ain't talking about the cosmetic procedure either.
so NO, i woulnd't suggest it.

Yes, you'll be eliminating all forms of living source in that bath. I think you need more and do it in a pool sized bath tub.
You know, to be sure. No organism will survive.
