because itll just come out wrong.-The moon just doesnt appear in a full eclipse mode all at once. It must pass through those other phases first.-She probably just meant that it was partial (same as penumbral) before it reached full eclipse (umbral).Either that, or Sheilas an idiot!......
she tells her friends that she saw partial and penumbral eclipses as well. How could what Sheila says be true?

I'm not even going to attempt to answer this, because it'll just come out wrong.
