Why do people really believe man walked on the moon in 1969

They believed it because it was USA that had done it. Had it been russia they wouldnt have.

We are programed in school to accept History Books as true. (Despite the recent attempts of the History Channel to discredit the History name!)

You might as well ask why do people believe World War 1 was real? Why do people believe Christopher Columbus discovered America? Why do people believe there ever was a President named Abraham Lincoln?

There is far less concrete evidence for the last things I mentioned then the documents for the Moon landing!

We believe it because we want to. Because it is the symbol of humanity's greatest achievement. To step out of our little shell and say "Hello Universe!". It is the symbol of "we can do it" it is the idea of doing the impossible, it is the symbol of grabbing our dreams. We look up and wonder if we can get out there, and we did. It is a symbol of humanity saying "Hell yeah!"

Whether you believe it or not, it is up to you.

Believe it or not, some of us were actually alive at the time and watched it on live television! I was, for one.

It is not a question of belief, but of historic fact. The six Apollo Moon landings are among the best documented events in human history: thousands of pictures, hours of video, 382 kg. of Moon rocks, and millions of eye witnesses, including myself. There is not a single scientist in the world who doubts that they took place. To deny them is to discredit the magnificent achievement of the team which went to the Moon, and to reveal abysmal scientific ignorance.
