–3) in slope-intercept form.2) Write the equation of the line that passes through (2, 5) with a slope of 3 in point-slope form.These are the last 2 problems out of the 20 I had to do but now Im stuck on these two. Can someone please help me out?Thanks in advance to anyone who takes their time to answer-Slope intercept form is y=mx+b.......

Slope intercept form is y=mx+b. So if you have a slope and a point, you can find b.

The slope is change in y over change in x

Here, (6-(-3)) / (3-0) = 9/3 = 3 = m

Then the equation is y=3x+b

Now substitute one of the points into the equation

(3,6) into y = 3x+b

6 = 3*3+b

b = -3

Then the equation must be y = 3x-3

To check, substitute the other point in to make sure it works.

(0,-3) --> y = 3x-3

-3 = -3 Since this is true, this equation works for both.

For the second one, point slope form is y-b = m(x-a) where slope m and point (a,b)

Here, we are given a slope of 3 and the point (2,5), so the equation is y-5 = 3(x-2)

It will help you to memorize these forms as there are many more advanced things where you will recognize things from these equations.

To find a slope of any two points do -3 - 6 over 0 - 3. Choose either y to minus the other y from but make sure the x is from the same point. y2-y1 over x2-x1 = slope. y = mx+b. B = the y intercept so find where the line goes right through the Y

Slope = (6 - (-3)) / (3 - 0) = 9 / 3 = 3

In point-slope form, this is:

y - 6 = 3(x - 3)

which we can put into slope-intercept form as follows:

y - 6 = 3(x - 3)
y - 6 = 3x - 9
y = 3x - 3

Answers:
Slope-intercept form: y = 3x - 3
Point-slope form: y - 6 = 3(x - 3)
