HBr, CH3CH2OH, and Ar atoms. The options to choose from are Ion-Dipole, Dipole-Dipole, London Dispersion Forces, and Hydrogen Bonding. Anyone know how to identify which forces are at work?
-
HBr = dipole-dipole. (HBr is a polar covalent molecule)
CH3CH2OH = hydrogen bonding. (It has an OH group)
Argon = only weak Dispersion forces since it's a noble gas.
By the way, ALL atoms/molecules/compounds have dispersion forces.

Strong and Weak forces are. Not entirely sure if that's what you're looking for, though.
