how the 2 work together ?

Your respiratory system (lungs) takes in oxygen from the air.
Your cardiovascular system (powered by the heart) pumps blood through your body (and through the lungs where the oxygen is coming in).
The blood drops off carbon dioxide in the lungs, and picks up oxygen, which it then carries around to the rest of the body.

when we exercise (the cardiovascular system), we need to take in oxygen (and enough water and food before) for the energy to exercise. this relates to our respiratory system because this is the respiratory system. It is the taking in of oxygen and glucose from digested food and water, the result being the releasing of energy which is needed for the cardiovascular system.

now look,
when we breath or respire, we intake oxygen through external environment ,that oxygen is supplied to blood and is circulated across the body. and in turn the carbon dioxide present in blood is carried to lungs and is excreted from the body to the external environment. hence both circulatory and respiratory system works together.
thanks
