I followed one site's instructions for making a pinhole projector:
1. Make a pinhole in the bottom of a dark plastic cup
2. Rubber band a screen of wax paper to the opposite end of the cup
3. View the wax paper to see an upside-down projection of the image
For added safety, I set the base of the cup into a paper bag so that there wouldn't be any accidental direct viewing of the sun. However, since you still point the cup at the sun and look in the direction of it, I'm concerned that maybe the wax paper projection can still damage the eyes. What do you think?

I'm just using two pieces of cardboard (file folders) with a 2mm hole in one, projecting onto the other about 4 feet away.
