I know that there is 7 then 7 and a half but what is after that and after that just before 8? Please help

7¾ could be such a number.
-
nbsale say: There is no "next" number or number "just before."
The real numbers are "dense." Between any two different real numbers, there is another real number (in fact, an infinite number).

If you are looking at a ruler, the mark just before 8 inches is usually 7 15/16. Some rulers have finer markings than that, so it could be 7 31/32 or even 7 63/64, but only workers like machinists use rulers that finely graduated.

Jim Moor say: 7 is the whole counting number (integer) before 8.

There are infinite values (Real Numbers) between 7 & 8
-
G. Whilikers say: The set of "real numbers" between 7 and 8 is infinite, and for any such number you may choose, there is another that is greater than that but still less than 8.
-
ted s say: define " exact number " ....there is no number immediately before 8
