Assuming you have 76% over 5 quizzes and get 40% on the sixth, then out of a total of 600 possible marks you will have 420 (5 x 76 + 40), so you will reduce your average to 420/600 x 100 percent, or 70%. 70% of the 40% max count for the quizzes = 28% Your class mark in percent of total will be 68% of 60 (which is 100 - the 40 for quizzes) = 40.8% Your final mark will be 40.8% + 28% = 68.8%.
