What is the most interesting element

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-05-20] [Hit: ]
Uranium decays through a couple of processes into other elements.Wow!You can find the Uranium decay chain on the net. Also, using fairly basic procedures, you can turn Uranium into a heavier element!......
Any element you think is interesting, please tell me,, even if there's more than one. :) Thankss

Fe{Ar}4s2, 3d6 It can have valences of 2+ by donating the 4s2 electrons, 3+ by donating the 6th
d electron, which leaves its remaining 3d5 very stable by having the remaining 5 with the same spin. It is magnetic in the form of the dimer Fe2O3 + FeO = Fe3O4 (magnetic iron oxide,)

Uranium is the most interesting element. It occurs widely in nature, and has several naturally-occuring isotopes. All you need are some fairly high-quality centrifuges, scales, a little bit of knowledge, and yellowcake uranium ore, and you can extract U-235 which can be used to make a small atomic device. And there are no special procedures for setting off the device, you can simply assemble enough u235 in one spot and it will undergo a nuclear reaction (supercriticality).

Uranium decays through a couple of processes into other elements. Wow! You can find the Uranium decay chain on the net. Also, using fairly basic procedures, you can turn Uranium into a heavier element! Wow! That is actual alchemy, turning one substance into another. Any graduate-level nuclear engineer or physics student could do it with enough money.

Uranium is very dense, and 'depleted uranium' (which does not have many radioactive isotopes in it, although it always remains radioactive) is used for armor piercing ammunition. It can bore through armor steel much better than lead or other steels. This high density makes it useful any time you need a lot of weight but not much space. Delicate guidance instruments, airplanes, ammunition, they all use uranium.

Uranium has been used as a doping agent to color glass orange for centuries, if not thousands of years.

Uranium is the wonder element.

i lik the grp 0 elements..they don't play the heck as what the other elements do- no gaining nor losing- they r the stable elements n live on their own without much self- dependency! They are unreactive n liVe by their own...hehehe-:) ALWAYS HPPY WITH WHAT THEY HAVE!
Lik ya Q

-
Uranium(rob has explained well)
Radon( coz its radioactive gas)
:)

-
potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus

Gotta be Carbon. It gets a whole course of its own!
